DUFFA is now selling it's rather spiffing Discraft Ultrastar discs online! For GBP 7 (and GBP2.10 p&p) you can own you're very own professional disc! See the shop for more details!

WEDNESDAYS (indoors) - 2000hrs - 2200hrs 

SUNDAYS- 1300hrs - dark

As the days start to lengthen we change our outdoor times (and eventually go back outdoors in the week!). Sundays now start at 1500hrs. Keep an eye out for further changes as light allows!

The trial was a success. We have a regular booking at the Parrs Wood High School. 2100hrs - 2230hrs every Wednesday. 

Please note there will be no session on the 17th December due to exams

We're trialling an indoor session on Wednesday evenings, 2100hrs - 2230hrs. There is a small donation required to play. It's at the Parrs Wood High School on Wilmslow Road.

We're playing Sundays (outdoors) from 1400hrs in Didsbury Park. Midweek we're looking at trying to get a regular indoor venue. Details to follow.

DUFFA are competing at the Bradford indoor tournament this weekend. Good luck DUFF

Our second Christmas party will be held at the Didsbury Cricket Club on the 19th December 2008.

We're hosting a Karaoke party with a slight twist. You have to dress up as a pop star of your choice. Singing is optional!

Tonight we have our last Thursday evening session in Didsbury Park. We're starting at 1630hrs and playing until we can't see the disc coming at us. 

We're hoping to find somewhere to play (either indoors or floodlit) to start Thursdays back up soon.

Fancy trying something different? Want to play a team sport other than football, netball or rugby? Come down to Manchester Alternative Sports Day on Saturday 4th October at Platt Fields Park!

We are holding a sports day - but with a twist! FREE to participate, Alternative Sports Day is an opportunity for you to try out three cool sports: Korfball, Ultimate Frisbee and Softball! 3 different sports but with lots in common: they are three of the very few team sports that men and women play together on equal terms; they are field sports that can also be played indoors and they are a lot of fun!

As the nights are drawing in again we're starting to play a little earlier. Don't worry if you can't get there for the start - you can join in anytime and if you're new then there are always people on the side line to welcome and take you through the basics.

DUFFA HAT Tournament 2008
Didsbury Ultimate Frisbee For Amateurs will sponsor our first tournament, DUFFA Hat 2008! Held on the 26th & 27th of July. The tournament will last all day Saturday and most of Sunday, with the final played late Sunday afternoon. The tournament will take place at the Burnage Rugby Club, Varley Park, Manchester. Shelley is turning 30 and thought it would be the perfect excuse to try out Disc Golf at the only course in Britain that was purchased and landscaped for the sport!

Don't worry if you've never played before as neither have I! I've been told that it's really accessible to complete beginners. Derek Robins (owner of Quarry Park Disc Golf and 16 time British Disc Golf Tour Champion) has agreed to be around to lend us golf discs and give us a few pointers.

Alan and Shelly have returned from their travels clutching 50 shiny DUFFA discs. Supplies are limited so get in quick! Discs are GBP8 each and feature a well known DUFFA celebrity.

James L, Stevie S and Penny are hosting the very first DUFFA Christmas Social! It promises to be an amazing night... Stevie has drunkenly promised to transform his front room into a santa's grotto. There will be music (any volunteers, Phil??), drink (BYOB please), and a secret santa!

Alan and Shelly have now got the discs in hand. The discs are GBP-8 each and available early January. 
Steve and Alan are selling them so be sure to get in early!

Discraft has replied with a formal quote for our order, but unfortunately our art was rejected because it had "friz bee" in the text. I have resubmitted the art... it now just says "Didsbury Ultimate" instead of "Didsbury Ultimate Friz bee For Amatuers." I have asked them to charge my credit card and begin the order.
